Our History
Our History
- Founded in the 1950s as Evangel Tabernacle
- Affiliated with the PAOC by 1973
- Church building completed in 1989
- Building mortgage paid off by 1995
- Our Mission Statement was written in 2003
- Renamed to "Evangel Family Church" in 2017
- Today we are a vibrant, multigenerational congregation serving Matheson-Black River and area
Our Buildings
The Poplar Road building seats 150 in the main worship space.
Its basement has a kitchen, large hall area and several classrooms.
There is also a large garage onsite for Community Yard Sale storage.
The church also owns a house in Matheson, to provide pastoral accommodation.
